Mainsail Luff Slides and Boom Topping Lift: $129
Small slugs attached by a sailmaker to the front edge
of the mainsail keep it from falling out of the track and allowing it to flake itself when
lowering the sail. They also greatly simplify hoisting, eliminating the need to feed the
sail into the mast slot as it goes up. The Topping Lift runs from the top of the mast to the end of
the boom and keeps the boom from falling when the mainsail is lowered. This is
particularly helpful when reefing or flaking the main, to keep the boom from damaging
the cabin top or hitting someone in the head.
Masthead Wind Direction Indicator: $59
This is an arrow vane at the top of the mast that points out the direction the wind
is blowing. An invaluable tool while sailing, it can also be used while docking to
estimate drift.
Whisker
Pole: $129
Clips temporarily to an eye on the front of the mast to hold the
clew (where the sheets attach) of the jib or genoa out when going downwind. Improves
efficiency and keeps the sail in place in rolly conditions.
Turnbuckle Boots and Shroud Covers: $79
Five plastic covers that slip over the shrouds and backstay, and
five plastic cylinders that cover the turnbuckles of these wires. They prevent chafe on
the sails and sheets, as well as the fiberglass when trailering. A necessity when you use
the genoa to keep the sheets from snagging on the side turnbuckles.
Additional 6 gallon Fuel Tank: $69
Doubles fuel capacity,
